Two stolen motorcycles recovered in Balaka, two suspects arrested

Police in Balaka District have recovered two stolen motorcycles and arrested two people in connection to the offence.
According to Balaka Police Public Relations Officer Gladson M’bumpha the suspects are Henry Naveya, aged 42, and John Adam Mapata, aged 32.
They committed the offences during the night of November 2, 2023 and on February 9, 2023 respectively.
Naveya comes from Pitala Village in the area of Traditional Authority Kachindamoto in Dedza District, whereas John Adam Mapata is from Wayiyatsa Village in the area of Traditional Authority Symon in Neno District.
They will appear before court soon to answer charges of burglary and theft of motorcycles.
