However, for some Malawians, they got more than what they bargained for.
Reports from South Africa indicate that the Department of Foreign Affairs and Security in the Country used the show that was being hosted by Malawi’s hit-maker, Lucius Banda, as an opportunity to net all Malawians living illegally in the country and ready them for deportation.
According to the reports, Police in South Africa just went to the show and at the end of the show, they started checking those who had proper documents to live in the country. All those who never had the proper documents were sent packing from there.
