Ntchisi Hospital Staff Hold Strike Demanding Transfer Of Their Bosses

Staff at Ntchisi District Hospital have initiated a complete shutdown of public services, demanding the transfer of some of their superiors.

The workers accuse their bosses of mismanagement, citing failures to provide meals to patients and ensure the availability of essential drugs.

Traditional leaders are considering involving gulewamkulu in demonstrations to address the stalemate and bring attention to the issue.

The Director of Health and Social Services, Dr. Alinafe Kalanga, is alleged to have connections to a government minister, leading to reluctance from the Ministry of Health to transfer her.

Despite heavy police presence, the District Council spokesperson, James Mwale, has declined to comment on the situation.
