Dr. Michael Usi Criticizes Political Power Struggles, Stresses Leadership Comes from God

The leader of the United Transformation Movement (UTM), Dr. Michael Usi, has criticized the practice of pursuing political positions within parties and the government. Usi stated that he cannot force leadership roles upon people, as leadership positions are given by God.

Usi made the remarks during the party’s rally at the Mmanga Government School in Balaka,

He emphasized his efforts to unify the UTM party and urged members to remain loyal.

Usi also addressed accusations that Vera Kamtukule, the Minister of Tourism, was not a UTM member, clarifying that Kamtukule was indeed a dedicated member of the party.
