Chakwera sleeps on the chair at BICC in Lilongwe

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who is also leader of the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP) has spent a night while seated at chair at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in the capital Lilongwe.

This is the venue where MCP is hold its elective conference ahead of the 2025 polls.

Chakwera together with Madalitso Kazombo went unopposed at the elective conference. But despite that Chakwera has been awake throughout the night to ensure that the election is free and fair.

The gestured demonstrated by Chakwera has attracted praises among Malawians on social media.

Meanwhile, vote counting is currently underway at BICC.
