An aircraft operated by Ethiopian Airlines, ET 881, failed to land at Chileka International Airport last evening due to an electric fault which affected lights on the airport’s runway.
Airport Manager at Chileka International Airport, Oscar Yokonia confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).
Yokonia said the airport is running on old electric equipment which developed a fault.
The airplane, a Boeing 738, which has a seating capacity of at least 170, was redirected to land in Mozambique, according to Yokonia.
