DPP’s Daniel Chauluka Elected Mulanje District Council Chairperson Unopposed

Daniel Chauluka from Chole Ward of the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has been elected as the Mulanje District Council chairperson without any opposition.

The election took place during a full council meeting held at the council’s hall.

Chauluka succeeds Thokozani Namoyo from Mtenjera Ward in this role.

Dickson Kamowa from Namboya Ward, also of the DPP, has been elected as the vice chairperson, narrowly defeating Nyepwa Namoyo with a vote of 13 to 12.
