12 Passengers Escape Death After Minibus They Were In Caught Fire In Kasungu

Police are investigating the cause of a fire that engulfed a Mazda Bongo minibus in Kasungu last night, leaving twelve passengers unhurt but causing significant property damage.
According to Kasungu Police Deputy spokesperson Miracle Hauli, the minibus, registered as BR 8537, was traveling along the Kasungu-Lilongwe M1 road when traffic officers conducting routine checks noticed fuel droplets underneath the vehicle.
They promptly alerted the passengers to disembark, just moments before the minibus was consumed by flames.
Inquiries are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
