Chancy Gondwe, a lawyer with Chagwamnjira and Company who, in the week, won a case against the first family in which the first family was accusing his client, Justice Mponda, for his exhortation has been admitted at the Blantyre Adventist Hospital after being attacked by thugs last night.
According to reports, thugs broke into Gondwe’s house last night where they attacked the lawyer and went away with a car belonging to the law firm he is attached to.
It is said that Gondwe was severely beaten by the robbers who ignored the other three people who were in the house and just established themselves on him.
“The robbers did not attack anybody except Gondwe even though there were four people in the house. They pursued him throughout their robbery if he tried to run away from them,” thus according to a friend to Gondwe who visited him last night at the hospital after his admission.
Gondwe’s client, Mponda, won a case this week against th first family and got an instant award of MK 500, 000 which is alleged to be have belonged to the President’s son, Geoff Kachale.
