Body of Unidentified Young Man Found Floating in Thuchira River, Mulanje

Police in Mulanje have recovered the body of an unidentified young man found floating in Thuchira River near Awali Village, under Senior Chief Nthiramanja.
According to Mulanje Police Deputy spokesperson Hawa Juma, the body was discovered on the afternoon of March 9, 2025, by children who were swimming in the river. The remains have since been taken to Mulanje District Hospital mortuary.
Juma described the deceased as a short young man, estimated to be between 18 and 25 years old. At the time of discovery, he was wearing black tracksuit trousers with yellow stripes and red floral shorts.
