Nkhotakota Road Accident Claims Lives of 2 Teenage Sisters

Two siblings have died after being hit by a car at Green Corner along the Nkhotakota-Kasungu M18 road today.
Nkhotakota Police spokesperson Paul Malimwe confirmed the incident, identifying the victims as Rofina Kamphinga (17) and Victoria Kamphinga (15).
The accident occurred when Blessings Kandapo (26), who was driving a Toyota Raum Saloon (BY 6936), lost control and crashed into the two, who were selling food at the roadside.
Three passengers in the vehicle sustained injuries, while the two victims died upon arrival at Nkhotakota District Hospital.
Kandapo, who was traveling from Kasungu to Nkhotakota, has since been taken into police custody and is expected to appear in court soon.
The deceased hailed from Vinjenje Village, under Senior Chief Malengachanzi in Nkhotakota.
