The Economic and Financial Crimes Court has adjourned the trial of Norman Chisale from May 6 to May 9 this year.

Chisale is accused of being in possession of approximately 5 billion Kwacha, allegedly obtained through fraudulent means.

The trial was postponed due to the illness of Chisale’s lawyer, Gilbert Khonyongwa.

Dzikondianthu Malunda, who is representing the government in the case, said the prosecution was fully prepared with witnesses ready to testify.
