Chakwera Leaves for One-Day SADC Conservation Summit in Harare

President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has departed for Harare, Zimbabwe, to attend a one-day Southern African Development Community (SADC) Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCA) Summit of Heads of State and Government.

The summit, themed “Transfrontier Conservation Areas: 25 Years of Fostering Regional Integration and Sustainable Development,” brings together regional leaders to discuss environmental cooperation and sustainable development across borders.

President Chakwera was seen off at Chileka International Airport by Minister of Local Government Richard Chimwendo Banda, Minister of Information Moses Kunkuyu, senior government officials, traditional leaders, and members of the Malawi Congress Party.

He is expected to return to Malawi later this evening via Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.
