Rumphi Residents Worried About Rising Theft Cases

Residents from Rumpi town have expressed their concern as cases of theft and robbery continue to rise, even occurring during the day, leaving many people feeling unsafe in their own homes.

According to reports, thieves are also targeting public facilities including the district hospitals, where water pipes and some plumbing materials have been kept.

Police have admitted that the problem is getting worse, with 156 cases of theft already recorded in the first part of the year.

Meanwhile authorities are urging community members to be alert and take steps to protect their homes and property.
