Chiwanja Cha Ayao’s AGM set for Saturday in Liwonde

Chiwanja Cha Ayao, a cultural grouping is a set to hold its elective conference this coming Saturday with an aim of electing new office bearers.
Speaking in an interview with the outgoing Chairperson for the grouping Mzee Yasin said all is set for the event.
“Delegates to the elective conference will start arriving in Liwonde today and everyone is welcome to attend the AGM,” said Yasin.
Commenting on the concerns of roping leaders into positions from one region or district, Yasin said the grouping has a representation from all regions.
“I don’t think that will happen because the grouping has representation from all regions and even the contesters are from all the regions,” he said.
He added: ” In addition only paid up members are the ones who will be allowed to attend the AGM and contest on any position.”
Yasin also said that Chiwanya cha Ayao is the only group that is not affiliated to any political party.
