People identifying themselves as concerned youth activists in Mzuzu say they will not allow any further protests in the city.
They argue that those who organize such protests are often paid and used by others to create chaos, which disrupts businesses and public life. The group also expressed concern that protests lead to school closures, interrupting their children’s education, and result in property damage.
They emphasized that anyone seeking change in the country should express their will by voting in the upcoming general elections scheduled for September 16, 2025—not through protests.
The ongoing demonstrations in Mzuzu were organized by city vendors, who are dissatisfied with how Indian nationals are conducting business in the area.
