Two Arrested for Possessing Cannabis in Balaka

Police in Balaka have arrested two individuals for allegedly being found in possession of Indian hemp without a license.
Balaka Police spokesperson Gladson M’bumpha has identified the suspects as Malita Panyasa, 47, and Daniel Mkwatulo, 35.
According to M’bumpha, the two were arrested on Monday at Likudzi and Mkando in the Phalula area following a tip-off from community members who suspected the duo of selling cannabis in their shops.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to illegal possession of cannabis.
