Seven Arrested in Zomba Over Robbery, Theft and Burglary

Police in Zomba have arrested seven individuals in connection with a string of criminal activities reported across the district.

According to Zomba Police Station spokesperson Patricia Sipiliano, the arrests followed an intelligence-driven operation conducted by the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) after receiving multiple reports of theft and related offenses.

Among those arrested are Lucious Kassim, 25, and Enest Nambuzi, 38, who were apprehended on suspicion of robbery. The remaining suspects face charges including burglary, theft, and receiving stolen property.

Sipiliano said the suspects, aged between 20 and 30 years, are all residents of Zomba District and will appear before a court of law soon to answer their respective charges.
