Body of Missing Man Found Floating in Blantyre Water Board Dam

The body of a man who went missing days ago has been discovered floating in a dam owned by Blantyre Water Board (BWB).

According to Ndirande Police spokesperson, Chibisa Mulimbika, the body was found in the morning of July 31, 2025, by BWB security guards on duty.

The deceased has been identified by family members as Anderson, who went missing on Friday, July 25, 2025. On that day, Anderson and a friend had gone fishing in the dam, but were chased away by BWB security personnel. He was never seen again after the incident.

Postmortem results conducted at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital indicate that Anderson died due to drowning.
