Area 25 Robbery Suspects Appear in Court for Bail Ruling

Senior Resident Magistrate Wanangwa Nyirenda has adjourned to 1:30 PM today the bail ruling for three suspects accused of robbery and theft in Area 25, Lilongwe, following the absence of the bail application file.
The suspects identified as Felix Mageleta, Adam Tsoka and Aubrey Banda were due to learn their fate this morning after applying for bail on grounds of family responsibilities. However, court proceedings stalled when officials failed to locate the relevant file.
The three are accused of robbing K100,000 and a Pixel phone from one victim, Kumwenda, and stealing Samsung and Itel phones worth K450,000 from another victim, Thondoya.
The court is expected to resume this afternoon once the file is retrieved.
