Daughter Dies in Road Accident on Her Way to Mourn Father in Zambia Kafue

In a double tragedy that has left the Mulenga family of Shikoswe, Kafue, in deep mourning, two children were involved in a fatal road accident while travelling to attend their father’s funeral.

According to reports, Mr. Mulenga died last Saturday at Kafue General Hospital in Zambia after a short illness. The following day, his first-born daughter, Perpetual Mulenga, and her brother set off from Mansa to Kafue for the funeral.

Just a few kilometers from Kapiri Mposhi heading toward Kabwe, their vehicle was involved in a fatal crash. Perpetual died on the spot, while her brother was rushed to Kabwe General Hospital, where doctors have since confirmed he is out of danger.

Tragically, another woman in the vehicle, who was travelling with her child, sustained injuries and is receiving treatment in hospital. Her child, however, did not survive the accident.
