Former Good Shudren Member ‘Zafrey’ Joins Politics, Eyes Chambo Ward Councilor Seat

Former Good Shuldren music group member, Frazer Zafrey Mukhuna, popularly known as Zafrey, has stepped into politics and is contesting as an independent candidate for the Chambo Ward councilor seat in Zomba City North Constituency.

Speaking during a campaign rally at Mpondabwino Market, Zafrey said his focus is on promoting development initiatives and creating opportunities for the youth to engage in productive activities.

Zafrey, who once went quiet in the entertainment scene, was part of the Good Shuldren alongside artists such as Mafo and Nyasa B. He later founded his own group, Agang’a Music, based in Zomba, which includes members Khusha Kei and Stedo Legend.

He is among seven candidates vying for the Chambo Ward seat: Eda Mkula (Independent), Mwai Mwalabu (UDF), Gauh Chizimba (UTM), Frank Sula Moyo (MCP), Julian Folokoni (DPP), Rightwell Ngoma (Independent), and himself.
