Two men have died following a head-on collision on the Ntcheu–Balaka M1 road after the motorcycle they were riding veered into the opposite lane and crashed into a Toyota Hilux, police have confirmed.

The accident occurred on Friday as the two were travelling on a Lifani motorcycle from Ntcheu Boma heading towards Balaka. According to police, upon reaching Bawi Post Office, the rider lost control and swerved into oncoming traffic, colliding with the Hilux driven by Grace Msosa of Mgungu Village, Traditional Authority Katumbi, in Rumphi.
