Phalombe Magistrate’s Court has sentenced Benzamm Dinemzyi, a Mozambican national, to five years in prison for burglary and theft.

The court heard that Dinemzyi broke into the home of a local woman, stealing two mobile phones and other personal property.

Delivering the verdict, Second Grade Magistrate Caroline Nthenda described the sentence as a deterrent, aimed at warning others against committing similar offences.
