Woman Flees After Allegedly Killing Husband in Machinga, Police Launch Manhunt

Police in Machinga have launched a manhunt for a woman identified as Nganadyawe Alisen, who is suspected of killing her husband, 57-year-old Mailosi Robin, following a domestic dispute in Kasitomu Village.
According to Machinga Police spokesperson Western Kansire, the couple reportedly quarrelled on 30 November 2025 over marital issues, leading to a violent confrontation.
Village authorities and community security members are said to have discovered Robin’s body after the woman and her children fled, leaving him unconscious and alone.
According to Kansire, police and health officials from Mbonechera Health Centre confirmed Robin’s death, noting medical findings that showed he had been severely assaulted and dragged by the genitals.
The late Mailosi Robin hailed from Kapelea Village under Senior Chief Mlomba in Machinga.
