Water Pump Stolen from Chunzu Health Post Construction Site in Dowa

Information reaching this publication indicates that unknown people have stolen a water pump from the construction site of Chunzu Health Post in the area of Traditional Authority Mkukula in Dowa District.

A resident of the area, Peter Balon, said the pump was installed along a nearby river, several metres away from the main construction site.

Dowa Director of Health and Social Services, Dr. Peter Makoza, said his office has not yet received an official report on the incident.

Dr. Makoza added that the health facility is currently at roofing level and has not yet been handed over to the government.

Construction of Chunzu Health Post commenced in September this year.

Meanwhile, police in Dowa are yet to comment on the matter.
