Nine-Year-Old Street Boy Killed in Hit-and-Run Incident in Mchinji

A nine-year-old street boy, identified as Bright Ganizani, has died after being run over by a truck at Kamwendo Trading Centre in Mchinji District.

Eyewitnesses reported that the boy often slept under parked trucks at the busy trading centre. A senior police traffic officer at Kamwendo Police, Brian Mkuluwa, confirmed the incident, stating that the vehicle involved has not yet been identified as it left the scene in the early hours of Monday.

The deceased hailed from Miseche Village in Traditional Authority Zulu, Mchinji District.
