Woman Swept Away by River Found Dead in Lake Malawi

A 32-year-old woman, Jamira Yazido, has been found dead in Lake Malawi after she was swept away by a river while returning from her lover’s house in Nkhotakota District.
According to Nkhotakota Police spokesperson Chisomo Chuma, the incident occurred when the deceased was attempting to cross the Mpenya River near Nkhotakota Boma.
Yazido’s body was discovered by fishermen today (morning), floating near Katimbira Port.
