Police in Kasungu have arrested a Zambian national suspected of entering the country and attempting to sell a Gatoma motorcycle without valid documents.

According to Kasungu Deputy Police Spokesperson Miracle Hauli, the suspect has been identified as 35-year-old Steven Njovu. He was arrested on February 17 in Chisinga.

Hauli said police, with assistance from well-meaning members of the community who traced the suspect, managed to arrest him and recover the motorcycle.

When questioned about the motorcycle he was selling, Njovu allegedly confessed that he had stolen it from Zambia and brought it into the country for resale.

Njovu is from Chibata Chief Kapichira in Lundazi, Zambia.
