ACB Arrests Five More in Greenbelt Authority Corruption Case

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has intensified its crackdown on alleged financial misconduct at the Greenbelt Authority, arresting five more suspects in connection with corruption and embezzlement.

Those arrested include former senior finance official Loyce Chilinsungwi, Joseph Banda and Mphatso Mtonza of SDK Engineering, Allan Chapweteka of Achapwe General Dealers, and Kondwani Mdoko of Bitrate Media.

The ACB confirmed that the five have since appeared before the court, with some being released on bail pending further proceedings.

The latest development brings the total number of suspects charged in the Greenbelt Authority case to 16.

Meanwhile, two other individuals linked to the investigation remain on the run, and authorities say efforts are underway to apprehend them.
