Brian Banda Appointed New MBC Director General

Journalist Brian Banda has been appointed Director General of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation.
According to a notice signed by Board Chairperson Benson Tembo, the appointment is aimed at strengthening leadership at the public broadcaster and enhancing its mandate to deliver credible, public-interest broadcasting.
Tembo has called on MBC management and staff to support Banda as he assumes the role.
Banda joins the corporation from the Times Group and will oversee the organisation’s management and strategic direction.
