Gospel Artist Evance Meleka Ordained as Pastor in Lilongwe

Renowned Malawian gospel musician Evance Meleka has today been ordained as a pastor at Voice of God Ministries in Area 23.

Meleka, who is known for songs such as “Chi Self,” said he has always desired to serve God in different ways, explaining that singing alone was not enough for him.

He added that the new role means he will now have two ministries  serving as a pastor in the church and ministering through gospel music.

Meleka also revealed that he and his long time friend Zebron Kankhunda are currently working on a new album titled “Akita Saafa,” which is expected to be released mid this year.

The ordination ceremony attracted several gospel artists, including Kondwani Chirwa, Maggie Mangani, Miracle Chinga, as well as members of the The Great Angelz Choir, among others.
