7-Year-Old Girl Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Kasungu

A seven-year-old girl, Joice Phiri, has died after being hit by a motorcycle at Mitekete Trading Centre along the Kasungu National Park earth road.
Kasungu Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, Miracle Hauli, said the accident involved a motorcycle that was travelling from Lifupa towards Kasungu Town.
Upon reaching Mitekete Trading Centre, the motorcyclist hit the young girl, who was walking along the road with her friends.
She sustained severe head injuries and a fractured left arm and was rushed to Kasungu District Hospital, where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
