Karonga District Council Mourns Death of Uliwa Ward Councillor

Karonga District Council has announced the death of Uliwa Ward Councillor, Hawkins Munthali of the People’s Party, who died on Monday (today) morning.
According to a statement from Karonga District Council spokesperson George Mponda, Munthali died in Lilongwe.
The statement reads: “The Council regrets to announce the untimely passing of Councillor Hawkins Munthali of Uliwa Ward, who died today (Monday) at 09:00 hours in Lilongwe.
“Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due course. On behalf of the Council, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, and the people of Uliwa Ward during this difficult time.”
