Mbeta to Face PAC Over Controversial Amaryllis Hotel Purchase

Attorney General Frank Mbeta is expected to appear before the Public Accounts Committee today to answer questions regarding the purchase of the Amaryllis Hotel.
This comes as the committee continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the acquisition of the hotel for 128 billion kwacha using funds belonging to retired civil servants.
Mberta has failed to appear before the committee on two previous occasions, citing other pressing commitments.
