A man identified as Innocent Commsy, a Projects Manager at DEC Construction Fidelis JV, was found dead at Njamba Park in Blantyre on the night of March 24–25, 2026.

According to police, Commsy, who was married to Madalitso Nankhuni Commsy, had reportedly been struggling with depression following a marital dispute in October 2025.

Speaking in a report, Annie Jangaoh, Soche Station Criminal Investigations Officer, said the deceased left home on March 24 claiming he was going to work but later informed his employer that he would not report for duty due to a sick child.

His vehicle, a Toyota Hilux, was later found abandoned near the park with his personal belongings—including a laptop, ID, and phone—still inside.

A search team subsequently discovered his body hanging from a tree. Police say a note was found at the scene in which the deceased indicated he had taken his own life due to trauma he had experienced, while also stating that no one should be blamed.

His body was taken to Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital mortuary for a postmortem examination.

Police are appealing to the public for any information that may assist ongoing investigations.
