Witch Doctor Arrested in Phalombe Over Stolen Grave Cross

Police in Phalombe have arrested a suspected witch doctor for allegedly stealing a cross from a cemetery.
Phalombe Police spokesperson, Sergeant Jimmy Kapanja, identified the suspect as Luke Mphepo, 25, from Chingwalu Village in the Mnkhumba area of the district.
According to Kapanja, the incident came to light when a man noticed that a cross placed on his uncle’s grave was in the possession of the suspect.
The matter was initially reported to a local chief, who later informed the police, leading to the arrest of the suspect.
Kapanja added that the suspect has since appeared in court.
