Man Arrested in Zomba for Allegedly Stabbing Wife to Death

Police in Zomba have arrested a 23-year-old man, Professor Mwakwawa, from Mandota Village in the area of Traditional Authority Mwambo, for allegedly stabbing his wife to death following a domestic dispute.
Zomba Police spokesperson, Lael Chimtembo, confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Ivon Mussa, 19. The incident occurred early yesterday morning in the Mitekete area.
According to police, officers rushed to the scene after receiving reports of the incident and took the victim to Zomba State General Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Medical reports indicate that Mussa died due to massive blood loss caused by multiple stab wounds to the neck.
Mwakwawa reportedly fled the scene after the incident but was later apprehended by police. He is expected to appear in court soon to answer a charge of murder.
