The High Court of Malawi has set April 15, 2026, for directions in the murder case of Victoria Bobe, who was killed during a violent robbery at her Chigumula home in November 2025.

Judiciary spokesperson Ruth Mputeni has confirmed the development.

Seven suspects are currently facing charges in connection with the case, which will be handled virtually by Ruth Chinangwa. The session is expected to determine how the proceedings will move forward.

Dr. Bobe, a specialist at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital and a lecturer at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences, was shot dead after assailants broke into her home and demanded money.
