25-Year-Old Arrested Over Death of Dr. Atughanile Chomo in Blantyre

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with the murder of medical doctor Dr. Atughanile Chomo, who was found dead at her home in Blantyre on Tuesday.
Deputy National Police Public Relations Officer Alfred Chimthere identified the suspect as Macmillan Mvevula. He said the suspect was arrested during an intelligence-led operation conducted by detectives from the Blantyre Criminal Investigations Department.
Police have also recovered a Redmi mobile phone believed to belong to Dr. Chomo, who was 28 years old.
Mvevula hails from Mtika Village under Traditional Authority Ngolongoliwa in Thyolo District.
