‘IIM Annual Sports Day A time to celebrate excellence, teamwork and meaningful connections’- Kondwani Kainga

Insurance Institute of Malawi (IIM) President Kondwani Alex Kainga has described the Annual Sports Day as a platform that brings unity and sharing values that exist within the Industry.
Kainga said this during IIM Annual Sports Day at Kamuzu University of Health Sciences (KUHES) where staff from various insurance companies are taking part in various games.

In his speech Kainga said that the event is all about connections and mingling.
“This day provides the staff members of various insurance companies a platform where they a can connect in a more relaxed environment and put aside their rivalry. This platform also gives the workers a chance to keep their body in shape,” said Kainga.
He then urged the staff members to take part in various sports discipline like Football, Netball, Gendaball, Pool, Chess, 100-metre race, Volleyball, Basketball, Bawo, Golf and Boxing.
On her part, Lenia Kachuma from Libertas General Insurance who participated in Netball competition hailed IIM for the sports.
“Honestly this is important day for us in the Insurance Industry as it gives us a chance to know one another and at the same time to have time to relax,” said Kachuma.
Some of the companies taking part in this year’s Insurance Sports day are; Libertas, Old Mutual Malawi, MASM, Mwaiwathu Private Hospital, Reunion, General Alliance, UGI, Smile Life, Lifeco, Zamara, vanguard and Kingfisher.
