Kabaza Operator Found Dead in Dowa

A man whose identity is yet to be established has been found dead near Chinkhali Village in the area of Senior Chief Mponela in Dowa District.

According to residents, the deceased was a motorcycle taxi (kabaza) operator who was working on Monday night before he was allegedly attacked by unknown people.

The body was later discovered and taken to Mponela Rural Hospital, where it is currently being kept.

Hospital In-charge Owen Chipewa confirmed the incident, saying medical personnel are expected to conduct a post-mortem examination after police and the deceased’s relatives arrive.

Meanwhile, Mponela Police spokesperson MacPatson Msadala said he needed more time before commenting on the matter.
