Police Arrest Two Suspects with Elephant Tusks in Nchalo

Police in Nchalo, Chikwawa District, have arrested two men on suspicion of illegally possessing elephant tusks weighing 8.9 kilograms.
Chikwawa Police spokesperson Dickson Matemba identified the suspects as 24-year-old Green Banda and 20-year-old Cosmos Tchale.
Matemba said the two were arrested at Nchalo Market after members of the public tipped off police that they were attempting to sell the tusks.
The suspects are expected to appear in court soon to answer charges related to the alleged offence.
