Miss Malawi 2025 Thandi Chisi Calls for Patience Amid Ongoing Public Debate

In a statement released, Chisi thanked Malawians for the support, encouragement and solidarity she has received in recent days, saying the backing had touched her.

She acknowledged media coverage and public discussion surrounding her title, saying she had taken note of the concerns being raised.

However, Chisi said she had deliberately chosen not to address the issues currently being discussed in the public domain, arguing that responsible leadership requires patience, restraint and respect for due process.

“I remain steadfast in truth, integrity and fairness. I am confident that in due course the relevant facts will emerge, and I will address this matter openly and responsibly at the appropriate time,” she said.

Chisi also assured supporters, partners and Malawians that she remains committed to the values of service, character and responsibility that the Miss Malawi title represents.

She appealed for continued patience as the matter is being handled, adding that her character remains unchanged despite the ongoing scrutiny.

“A crown does not make a Queen; character does. And no circumstance can take that away,” she said.

The statement comes amid ongoing public discourse and media attention regarding Chisi’s position as Miss Malawi 2025.
