MALAWI’s FIRST LADY APPOINTED GOODWILL AMBASSADOR FOR PAN AFRICAN PARLIAMENT

Malawi First Lady Madam Gertrude Mutharika has been chosen to be Ambassador for Goodwill for Pan African Parliament (PAP).

President for PAP, Roger Nkodo Dang, said this appointment is in honour of her contribution to the activities of PAP.

Dang said this Monday during an audience with President Professor Peter Mutharika at Kamuzu Palace in Lilongwe.

“I am humbled to give her the status of Ambassador of Goodwill so that she can continue to work with the PAP especially on issues affecting African women and girl child,” said Dang.

PAP president took the opportunity to thank President Mutharika on the support he renders to the activities of the PAP which were manifested when he accepted the Malawi First Lady to be the special guest of honour during the Women’s Conference which was held at the PAP in Midrand, South Africa in October, 2014.
