MINISKIRTS BANNED AT MALAWI SAVINGS BANK

As Malawians continue to linger over the sale of the state-owned Malawi Savings Bank (MSB) by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), information sourced by FaceofMalawi indicates that management has banned the wearing of miniskirts by female employees.

The ban is part of the new rules implemented by the owner Thom Mpingangira who also happens to be the managing Director of FDH Bank.

According to the leaked memo dated February 5, 2016 addressed to all employees seen FOM’s reporter signed by MSB head of human resources Richard Kunjawa warns all female employees from wearing miniskirts.

The bank has also urged female workers to desist from garment that are unnecessarily revealing by women” such as miniskirts, sleeveless blouses, immoderate and multi coloured hair styles or dreadlocks.

The warning has not spared men, saying male employees should desist from wearing saggy trousers.

The memo which is addressed to the bank’s branch managers, section managers, and Exco members, has urged all members of staff to observe the new rules.

Meanwhile it is yet to be seen if employees will abide by the new rules.
