Video show operator stabs customer to death

Police are keeping in custody a 17 year-old video show operator for stabbing a customer to death at Piyasani location in Lilongwe.

Lilongwe Police Station Assistant Public Relations Officer Constable Margret Selemani identified the video show operator as Saudi Gerald from Malunduluzi village in the area of Traditional Authority Kalolo in Lilongwe.

She said the suspect picked up a quarrel over a chair with a customer in the video show room on Tuesday, May 3, 2016.

“The two were quarrelling over a chair and in the process he pulled out a knife and stabbed Wongani Banda on the neck,” said Selemani.

She said the body was taken to the Kamuzu Central Hospital where postmortem conducted revealed that death was due to cardiac arrest or shock.

The suspect is expected to answer murder charges contrary to section 209 of the penal code.mana
