PEOPLE LIVING WITH DISABILITIES ACCUSE CHIEFS IN CHIKWAWA FOR SEGREGATION

People living with disabilities in Chikwawa have accused various local Chiefs in the district that they always do sideline them as they are not receiving current Food aid which Malawi Government is giving to the people who are affected by hunger disaster in the district.

According to Patson Kwapatira from Mpokonyola Village, Traditional Authority, Katunga of the same district has disclosed to local radio that they do not understand why local chiefs always segregate them once any aid program is conducting in areas.

In a comment, Chairman of Federation for Disability organizations of Malawi (FEDOMA), Simon Munde has asked the government to intervene as association has received many complaints that chiefs are very corrupted in delivering resources to targeted beneficiaries.
