Minibus drivers sets ablaze Police units in Machinjiri: MSCE exams disrupted in Ndirande

As the protest by Minibus drivers and conductors continue across Blantyre, reports reaching faceofmalawi indicates that three police units have been torched in Machinjiri Township.

The drivers and conductors are against what they are calling “harsh conditions” imposed on them by traffic police.

According to information at hand, the angry drivers have torched Khama police unit and Nkolokoti police unit.

“Its now 3 police units burnt down in Machinjiri following minibus drivers and conductor’s protests,” wrote an eyewitness.

Meanwhile information from Ndirande indicates that the teargas being fired by police officers have also affected some candidates sitting for Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations.
