KAS Freight Limited, The worst company in Malawi for custom clearing

We hope you get to to read this before any of your family and friends send you goods from overseas to Malawi, if you are receiving goods to Malawi, regardless what it is there is a number of clearance agency ready to help you clear your goods with customs. One of these companies is called KAS Freight Ltd run by a certain Mr kasambara who is a master of trickery and deception. We advise you to NOT use KAS any day and use other companies to clear your goods. Every person that I have discussed with about KAS Freight has had a terrible experience with Mr Kasambara. His offices are allocated at the Chileka airport and he will keep your goods and give you 4 receipts that will total up to a k40,000.00 charge that you have to pay to his company for what Kasambara calls, “handling fees” on top of the bill that is given to you by the MRA. KAS handling fees are calculated from him carrying the goods from the customs office into his office all located at Chileka airport, approximately a 3 minute walk and in this economy no one can be paying K40,000.00+- for that, rather we go there and carry our goods ourselves. As concerned Malawians we would like to ask the MRA to look into Kasambara’s business and remove him from the airport premises because he is destroying the MRA name by associating himself with clearance at Chileka airport.
